I admit it. I have a thing for elephants. And when I recently upgraded to a new iPhone, it struck me that I was way overdue for a change in wallpaper and lock screens, not to mention that I had not yet taken advantage of the iOS function to auto-switch depending on focus mode. I’d been creating AI elephants in Microsoft Designer for a week or so, and after fine tuning my prompts, produced a few that I really liked. I quickly discovered that having the right background on which to place my elephants was a key part of the process, as a solid color background just didn’t satisfy me. Fortunately, it is easy to make graduating toned backgrounds in AI. After creating a custom-sized template in Designer and stretching and rotating these backgrounds, it was easy to use Designer’s built in background remover on my elephants which had solid color backdrops. I loved the results:
I also decided to give my Apple Watch a new Do Not Disturb watch face:
But that was only the beginning. About a week later I thought about Windows wallpaper.
I’ve got a couple of Surface devices and a Dell all in one desktop. And the neat thing is that Windows supports multiple desktops, so I can really indulge what has become an elephant addiction. I’ve created a whole menagerie of these AI pachyderms which you can view in the gallery:
Here’s a sample of what one of these looks like on my Surface (click or tap for larger image):
Creating these has been a lot of fun. I think I’ve produced some unique wallpapers. Feel free to use any of them from the gallery above.
